The Brooklyn-based alarm company, Safe Blue Security, has announced a new program that will beat the home security cost for any new installation across Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.
The CEO of Safe Blue Security, David Quintero, says the alarm installation comes with the same equipment and technology from Alarm.com and Brinks, but with the customer service of a family-owned business.
Quintero started Safe Blue Security after spending more than 20 years working with Brinks and Alarm.com. He says he realized he could bring a more affordable home security system to friends and neighbors by branching out on his own. Many of his first customers are members of his church in the Lower East Side.

Home Security Industry Undergoing Changes with Technology
The home security industry is changing rapidly with the help of technology. Google recently invested $450 million for part ownership of ADT. Under the deal, ADT technicians will in the future install smart locks, home security cameras and smart displays, according to news reports.
Quintero says his company is already installing cameras, smart locks and smart displays that are integrated with a consumer friendly mobile app. The entire home security system allows consumers to check on their home when away, and get alerts when there is any unexpected activity.
“It’s great that Google is entering the home security system but customers still want someone to show you how it works. Making a call to a 800-number will never be the same quality of service that will you get from the owner of any company,” said Quintero.
